Institute of Structural Concrete

This course offers students the possibility to gain practical experience in the design and construction of structural members made of  reinforced concrete. The lectures focus on the use of structural analysis and drawing programs. Every participant is able to work on an individual PC. The class introduces each topic with a small lecture on the theoretical backround and practical information for modeling and design. The material from the lectures is then applied to smaller desing and drawing exercises during class hours and one larger graded homework assignment. Part of the homework is an computer aided colloquium. Within the colloquium a small design and drawing task is completed and handed in.
