For the first time, a social media competition was held at the 17th German Concrete Canoeing Regatta. Exciting contributions and worth seeing You-Tube clips with the hashtag #betonkanu were sent in via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.The RWTH-Aachen team was one of five universities who had made the leap onto the short list. By their convincing overall appearance and the story about the penguin canoe as well as the team mascot "Ping", the team won the first place in the social media competition.
